What Causes Swelling Below The Diaphragm When Diagnosed With IBS And Hiatus Hernia?
I have selling under my diaphragm in my stomach area. I have no pain and do not feel bloated however when I look in gif mirror I can see it is swollen. When I get up in the morning it is not swollen but increases as the day goes along. I have been diagnosed with IBS and a hiatus hernia in the last. I get scared I have cancer however after having a small blood clot in my key Five months ago I had a cat scan with dye yo flu image cancer . The results were normal. I have also put some weight on my lower abdominal area in the past few as I have not been walking as much.
From your description, I am of the opinion that the swelling is caused by hiatal hernia. I would not concur with the theory about cancer-causing this swelling. I would need more reports and description.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ashish Ranjan, General & Family Physician
