What Causes Swelling From Knee To Foot After Bipolar Hip Replacement?
My father is almost 89 yrs got a fracture neck femur. He was done bipolar hip replacement now its about 2 weeks ago. But now he has painful swelling from the knee joint downwards to the ankle and swelling of the foot as well. Doppler scan was done and it was supposedly normal. We try to elevate the limb on a pillow with little effect. so what could be the problem and what would be your advise?

I really appreciate your concern, apart from the circulatory disturbances if this the lower limb swelling then it need to be seen for cardiopulmonary disease, and low hemoglobin and all investigation has to be done in this directions, hope this information helps.
