What Causes Swelling In Ankle Along With Severe Pain In Leg?
I m a 21 year old female. I ve been having severe leg pain in my left leg only and it gets to the point of tears coming to my eyes from the pain. I cracked my heel(stress fracture according to my doctor) in 2010. I have limited movement in my foot/toes. My ankle swells and changes to a purpley color. Pain shoots from my toes up to just under my knee..

You need to see your doctor immediately for a course of antibiotics and symptomatic treatment
You can take ibuprofen plus paracetamol combination for pain
Limb elevation will reduce the swelling and pain.
