I am 71 years old and overweight. My ankles tend to be swollen at night but are fine in the mornings. I noticed this am my right foot is very blotchy. It doesnt hurt or itch. Does this mean I have poor circulaion to that foot, Should I be alarmed?

thank you for posting your query in healthcaremagic.com....

well there are many reasons for swelling of foot and ankles at night and in some of the reasons they can tend back to normal in the morning...

you have not mentioned whether you are hypertensive or diabetic or you have any other symptoms or not...
kindly come back to me with these answers and i will be able to diagnose your problem better....
swelling of foot can be due to local causes as well heart or kidney problems or hypertension etc...

so i would suggest you the following investigations-
blood pressure measurement regularly
complete blood count
blood urea creatinine
lipid profile
fasting blood sugar

come back to me with the reports...

hope this was helpful....
