What Causes Swelling In Both Feet, Difficulty Breathing After Caesarean Section?
I had a c section on 12/21 and have been experience swelling in both feet. I have also had difficulty breathing in especially on my right side. I understand the swelling is normal but can t remember having the breathing difficulty in the past 2 c sections.
The possible causes of your pedal edema and breathless are:
-General conditions like anemia, elevated blood pressure levels
-Post operative infection associated with pleural effusion
-Rarely development of coagulation abnormalities due to prolonged bed rest, surgery etc.
As these symptoms may point towards a serious condition sometimes, better to consult your Gynecologist once, get examined and go for investigations like Complete blood picture, blood sugar levels, renal function tests, coagulation profile, ultrasound, etc.
With this work-up the possible cause of your problem can be identified and treatment can be planned accordingly.
