Hi..
Can understand your concern..
As per your complain if you have got trauma to your canine leading to its displacement, swelling and pain you should immediately
consult a dentist..
The swelling has occurred due to inflammation caused due to
injury and if you immediately see a dentist e can take an
x ray to rule out for any crown or root
fractures in the tooth and if the tooth can be replaced and splinted in position for healing..
In case if there is no root fracture in the tooth and if the tooth is slightly mobile as many a times tooth also gets slight mobility due to
abscess formation after injury..
In case if the tooth has slightly displaced from its position and can be replaced in proper location, the dentist can perform a
root canal treatment of the tooth and splint the tooth in proper position to initiate healing and well as prevent the mobility of the tooth so that it gets healed and get set properly in its correct position..
In case of root fractures mostly extraction is advisable..
Along with the treatment you need to take antibiotics and painkillers to prevent pain, infection and inflammation..
Hope your query is solved..
