What Causes Swelling In Buttocks And Red Bump While Suffering From Hemorrhoid?
Hello my boyfriend went to the dr and was told he has hemorrhoid and they gave him antibiotics but the pain is getting worse and he now has one butt cheek that is swollen and there is a red bump in his butt although it isn t near the anus. Could this be something else?

From history it seems that there might be having infected or strangulated internal hemorrhoids producing swelling, cellulitis near ano-rectal region.
Another possibility of having fistula in ano.
Now as antibiotic is not working there are all chances of forming abscess.
Consult surgeon and get examined.
