What Causes Swelling In Eye Along With Drainage Of Pus?

My partner damaged his eye last year and since the has had constant pain, He had a lense put on that was changed every 6 weeks, 4 weeks ago it was change to a different lense to last 6 months We have to keep the eye lube This morning he woke to a pussy eye I ve just returned from work and his eye is extremely swollen, he can t open it and it s ouzing puss

Hi, i did review your concern.
The puss can be due to infection or periorbital cellulitis of his eye and it requires immediate consultation of your treating ophthalmologist. If there is puss then it needs to be examined by doing culture and microscopy and the lens if infected needs to be removed and antibiotics started.
