What Causes Swelling In Feet, Ankles, Dyspnea And Bloating After Quitting Smoking?
Hi, I recently quit smoking about 2 weeks ago and have smoked for about 20 years. I have swelling in my feet and ankles, experience shortness of breath, and have abdominal bloating which interferes with breathing and sleeping at night. How do I get rid of the edema and how long will it take for me to start feeling normal again??
These symptoms you describe are not due to stopping smoking. You need to see a doctor. You may have a problem with your heart or lungs. Do not delay, see a doctor today.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Kathy Robinson, General & Family Physician
