What Causes Swelling In Feet During Third Trimester Of Pregnancy?
I am 32 weeks pregnant. Top of my feet are swollen and when I press on them certain spots leave an indentation. I have been drinking plenty of water however am ony my feet the majority of my work day. Have had no complications this pregnancy, and have maintained healthy eating habits throughout.
There are various factors contributing to swollen feet during third trimester of pregnancy: - kidney problems: urine analysis, abdominal ultrasound to rule them out (especially when it comes to the presence of albumin in the urine) - compression of blood vessels draining from feet (veins) as your fetus is growing during this trimester.
It is common to have albuminuria (presence of albumin - protein in urine) during this trimester. You can discuss it further with your OG specialist.
Cardio-vascular problems should be also ruled out too.
All the best and God bless both of you! Dr.Albana
