I am a 74 year old diabetic patient. My feet swell. In my research I discovered that my liver is not producing albumin. Is there a way that I may replace the missing albumin through diet?
Hi, considering your age, with history of diabetic, suggest more of renal pathology. Pedal edema(leg swelling) though caused by many reasons, in diabetics renal comes first. i would suggest 1) To undergo liver function test, renal function test, urine routine. 2) To verify your reports with your physician, and get treatment accordingly would help you a lot. 3) Always keep good control of your diabetes. Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
