Apply an ice pack wrapped in cloth to your private area. Avoid use of harsh soaps, lotions, potentially irritating substances. Apply corticosteroid cream on the affected area. Get STD tests done, if reports are positive you will be treated with a course of antibiotics and antivirals. Get clinically examined by a urologist. Get physical examination, swab test done. Your treating doctor may tell you to get ultrasound, X-ray, CT scan, or MRI done. These imaging tests produce detailed images of the soft tissues of the private parts.
