What Causes Swelling In Jaw After Using Antibiotic Eye Drops In Eyes?

Used prescription antibotic eye drops in eyes. Within 30 to 45 minutes the gland under my left jaw was swollen quite a bit. Sore to the touch. The left side if my jaw was a little sensitive as well as the ear canal or so it felt that way. I also have an itchy flaky skin rash in the opening of the left ear that flares up often. I usually use a cream in the ear opening to calm the itch. Thank you for you comments and advice. WS

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

You may be suffering from the allergy to the drug or it may be secondary to ear infection. You developed sub mandibular lymph node enlargement also. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Use tablet Levocetirizine for five days. Please consult with your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
