What Causes Swelling In Labia Along With Burning And Stinging Sensation?
I used Nair lotion on my bikini line but it was very messy and got on my vaginal area. It was left on for 5 minutes til I became aware the burn was unbearable and not normal despite I d never applied it in that area before. Now, my labia is swollen and my vaginal area looks chafed. It burns and stings when I walk but bled only slightly. How can I get relief? I am a single mother and missing work is not an option so I need something to make it bearable.

you have accidentally exposed your external vaginal area to hair removing cream which has caused a mild chemical burn there
Follow these instruction
- have sitz bath( sitting in warm (not hot) water ) for 10 to 15 minutes, 2 to 3 times daily. The water may contain epsom salts or table salt
-u may use topical antibiotic cream would reduce the chance of infection. Normally silver Sulfadizine is used after a burn but if this is not available any antibiotic cream can be used
-A mild topical steroid cream would reduce the inflammation and help with the itching , along with this u may also use xylocain gel to numb the burn area and get quick relief
Along with these you should wear loose clothing made up of cotton , avoid wearing underwear during night sleep , allow more air to the burn area to get fast healing
It may take up to a week for almost complete resolution
but if your symptoms do not improve over 2-3 days then i would strongly recommend to visit your Gynecologist to get it evaluated further
