What Causes Swelling In Leg When Diagnosed With Diabetes And Heart Problems?
hi I work all day being on my feet . during the day my legs start to swell and makes it hard for me to walk . when I get home I put my legs up and the swelling is gone by morning . I drink lots of water during the day and try to sit every once in a while when at work . I am a diabetic and have heart problems

If your heart is not pumping well or kidneys are not excreting enough
water out you may get swelling of feet which can be related
to your heart problem or Diabetes.
Some of the drugs for heart like Amlodipine and drug for diabetes
like Pioglitazone can cause swelling of feet as a side effect.Pl. make
sure you are not taking such medicines.
It is advisable to undergo basic heart and kidney workup like
doppler echocardiogram ,S. creatinine and Urine Microalbumin
to pin down the cause of swelling.
