Hello
Thanks for writing in HCM
I had gone through your query and understood your concerns.
I suggest you to consult a general medicine physician
your husband seems to have hypoprotenemia causing swelling
it may be because of dietary deficiency
diabetic nephropathy leading to loss of albumin in urine
i suggest you to have strict control of diabetes and get serum creatinine and LFT including serum albumin and total protein test done
Hope this guides you. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
If you do not have any clarifications, you can please close the discussion. Thank you.
Wishing you good health
