Welcome at HCM....
I have gone through your query and being your doctor I completely understand your health concerns....
For how long you are suffering from diabetes? Is there any other comorbidity associated like diabetes?
Based upon the data you have provided in my.opinion you need to add another medicine along with metoprolol to control your heart rate..
You should be prescribed a drug from a diuretic group it will help you to control blood pressure and also address your leg swelling ( edema ).
You should consult cardiologist for proper management. You should get your renal function tests done along with your fasting lipid profile so that you should be assessed properly....
Stay safe and meet your cardiologist as soon as possible..
Meanwhile stay calm continue with your medications. Avoid salt intake and strenuous physical activity.
Regards
