General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

First of all, it's sad to know what you had been going through lately. Based on the history you have shared, it can be septic arthritis or crystal arthropathy.

You need orthopedic surgeon review or a Rheumatologist review. Joint fluid aspiration and microscopy and cultures may be needed. Serum uric acid levels and Inflammatory markers also need to be done.

Using OTC analgesics like acetaminophen or Ibuprofen can be helpful. Radiographic images to rule out osteoarthritis may also be needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
