What Causes Swelling In The Abdomen When Diagnosed With Abnormal LFTs?
Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic Abnormal liver function can cause swelling if there is associated decreased albumin. IF the albumin is normal then there may be another cause of the swelling such as heart or kidney disease or the presence of a mass/lesion. You may need to re visit your doctor for assessment. Daily waist circumference and weights may be needed to assess for change. You may also need imaging such as ultrasound to take a look at the abdomen. I hope this helps
