What Causes Swelling In The Ankles After Gemzar Chemotherapy?
I am experiencing a strange side effect to Gemzar chemo therapy: both of my ankles are swollen, the right one is more pronounced. The swelling began to appear after my 3rd chemo, and although it s less in the AM, my ankles are continuously swollen. An ultrasound yesterday determined there was no blood clots in either leg. Any thoughts ?

I can certainly understand your concern towards your ankle swelling, which is a common and less serious side effect of Gemzar chemotherapy, so there is nothing to worry as it subsides on its own , and is is normal by your ultrasound report, so if it persists ,then you can consult your doctor and get the advise
