What Causes Swelling In The Ankles After Insertion Of Cardiac Stents??

My Husband had 7 stents put in on 10/5/16. His right foot and ankle keep swelling. He had a hematoma in that leg. His foot and ankle swells up. He was put on water pills for a while and the Dr. cut his blood pressure meds in half. We may have to consult a vein specialist next. Any guidance you can offer me will be appreciated .Thank you,
