What Causes Swelling In The Armpit After A Shoulder Surgery?
I recently had shoulder surgery (2 wks ago) stitches have been removed and start therapy in 2 days.. They had to repair my bicep tendon ( near my armpit) ghost face .. Anyway my armpit close to my breast is swollen ..sore too.. Is this something I should be concerned about ??

It can be normal inflammation post surgery or skin emphysema which resolves spontaneously however possibility of wound infection should be ruled out. Blood counts, local examination by the primary care physician or the surgeon who did surgery is better. Meanwhile OTC analgesics like acetaminophen or Ibuprofen along with antibiotics may be helpful.
