What Causes Swelling In The Arms After Receiving A Methamphetamine Shot?

I am an intraveneous methampetamine user. Yesterday after taking a shot my veins immediately swelled up in that arm like i was a body builder pumping heavy iron and turned dark purple in places. It also immediately burned up my arm and in my armpit for a few minutes, and there was in spots around my veins a rash that was very itchy. My veins through out my body are still some what pumped up like they were when i exert myself even slightly although 24 hours have passed. am i in serious medical danger? what is happening with me?

Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

This is abscess and there is just one way to treat this. YOu need to see doctor right away.
. These are inflammatory processes i usually manifested with pain, redness, swelling, fever and pus discharge. Cellulitis is als possible
. This is mostly caused by beta hemolytic streptoccocus and it necessitates surgical incision,drainage, antibiotic treatment with augmentin, or combination of ciprinol+ metronidazole. You should also, apply cold compresses, take nonsteroid painkillers such as ibuprofen 400mg and rest.
