Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
For the past two days I have woke up with facial swelling. My eyelids and across my nose are puffy and my throat gets somewhat tight. I it goes down a little by the end of the day but the next morning it s more swollen again. I have not changed anything in my routine for my face or my bed or anything. What has caused this? Is it an allergic reaction?
It might be due to allergic reaction. But you have not written anything about any medicine you are taking. Are you taking any medicine?? Or it might be due to hypothyroidism which can be easily diagnosed with blood test. Do you have feel fatigue, constipation or coldness. These are associated symptoms of hypothyroidism. Have you recently gained significant weight?? If yes then this supports diagnosis of hypothyroidism. Or it might be due to kidney dysfunction. The cause need to be diagnosed. You can consult any general registered physician of your local area so that he/she might examine you physically and recommend tests as per physical examination finding. In the mean time I recommend you some tests: a. Serum TSH and T4 b. Serum creatinine c. Blood hemoglobin% I hope this information will help you. I will be happy if you ask another question Thank
