Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Swelling In The Feet Along With Constipation?
I m currently having swollen feet and constipation. The tops of my feet are swollen and a little sore to the touch. Blood pressure has been a little high, but not severally. I am also having muscle twitching and uncontrolled muscle spasms. I am currently going through methadone treatment.
Constipation is mostly due to methadone treatment. No need to worry about this. Just take more yogurt and curd. Avoid oily and fatty food.
You can also take a laxative drug. For swelling in feet, I think you should definitely consult a cardiologist and get done ECG and 2d echo.
Since you have high blood pressure, this swelling feet can be due to early heart failure. So consult a cardiologist and discuss all these. You may need antihypertensive drug and diuretics.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Kaushal Bhavsar,
