Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband began taking Flomax and an antibiotic for urinary elimination difficulty, about 2 months later he began having swelling in his feet and lower legs. He discontinued pharmaceuticals and returned to taking homeopathic remedies. However, the initial swelling has never abated entirely. A few days ago although he had been managing his urin flow with difficulty it stopped.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, Thanks for the query. I understand your concrn. Flomax is not known to cause swelling on feet as a side effect Swelling on feet along with prostatic enlargement to affect urine flow... is likely to result in urinary infection.... which can cause swelling on feet. Alternatively over weight, blood pressure, heart problem, liver problem, severe anemia, poor venous draonage can cause swelling. All these tests can be excluded one by one by pathological testing as per physician's advise followed by cause specific treatment. Thanks.
