What Causes Swelling In The Forearm When Diagnosed With A Ganglion Cyst?
I have a large ganglion cyst, Palm side. Having pain when flexing wrist, at times up my top part of hand, and around the wrist. Now have noticed swelling lower part of forearm. Hand feels a little colder then other hand. Is this all from the cyst? YYYY@YYYY
The ganglionic cyst is noncancerous fluid-filled swellings near tendons or joints.
They are usually asymptomatic until unless they compress the nearby nerve or artery or their size results in restriction of movement of the respective joint.
In your case, this is unlikely that it causes temperature difference. The treatment is aspiration and steroid injection in the swelling, sometimes if it requires it may require excision.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
