What Causes Swelling In The Gland Behind The Ear Lobe?
Gland directly behind ear lobe and down the neck and now up into in front of ear and up to bone around your eye and temple area swollen suddenly. I occasionally get this in mild fashion behind earlobe but this is second time it contained to swell up into face. Last time major swell lasted a week. Usually only a day or so . Always sudden. Onset . Usually after eating.

I really appreciate your concern, if the swelling not long last and does not have any symptoms like fever loss of weight, then it is nothing to worry, it is the lymph node only but may not have any pathology and it is nothing to worry still it can be sent for investigation just to clear the doubt hope this information helps.
