What Causes Swelling In The Groin On The Left Side?

After I finished my run today and as I was showering I noticed my left groin area was swollen noticeably - it wasn t like this yesterday and it is tender. I just started my period yesterday and I have been having an itchy rectum these last 4 days. No fever and otherwise feeing fine. I was diagnosed and treated for stage 1A breast cancer last year and I am on tamoxifen - so this sudden swelling and thinking it to be a lymph node swelling is making me a bit nervous. How long should I wait until I see my doctor? Should I see my gyno, oncologist, or general doc?

Hi, I think it can be an inguinal hernia. Get yourself examined by a surgeon. If hernia is there, you will need a surgical procedure to treat it.
