General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The edema that you're suffering from is common with Amlodipine usage, but the medication is needed for treatment and control of your multiple conditions. However, there are alternatives that may ease the swelling which your doctor is probably able to prescribe.

I would suggest drugs such a Lercanidipine and Lacidipine. Also, he/she may consider prescribing Diltiazem. The doses should be regulated by your doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
