Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
The knuckle on my index finger is swollen and hard . It is not warm to the touch . There is some pain but not severe . I have not injured it in any way that I know of . I am a 59 -year-old female with diabetes and other endocrine issues . Thank you for your thoughts on what this might be.
The swelling is movable? If it is, it can be a lipoma. If its not, it can be a sebaceous cyst but no need to worry if it doesn't hurt. Get an x ray to see any extra or malgrowth of bone.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Hazan
