Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Last week the inner part of my cheek was a bit swollen like I was chewing on the side of my cheek. I can't remember if I chewed on the side of my cheek or not, but this week I noticed that the slight swelling had went down. When I run my tongue along side my mouth it I can feel where the swelling was like it's all smooth and I can feel the line where it stops looks slightly bruised (a few light brown spot that looks to me like a bruise). I'm not sure if it's supposed to look that was or not.
Thanks for asking the query. Understanding your concern. As per your query swelling in the inner part of cheek is because cheek tissue which is getting caught between teeth and because of the sharp cusp edges cheek is getting traumatised, and it will become prone to injury again and again. Its better to get it treated as early as possible. I would suggest you to apply muco pain gel on sore area and do general massage. Apply dologel on cheek area and on tongue as well. Start zerodol tablet if you experiencing pain. Visit dentist and get your sharp cuspal edges of the teeth rounded off. Maintain proper hygiene.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
