Hi,
The pain that you are feeling is related to tissue damage from the falling that you had.You might have injured an internal structure of the knee (
meniscus, ligaments), or a neuromuscular injury.
This might continue for some other days or weeks, this depends on the type of the damage it has.
To improve pain and injury i suggest you to:
-Take anti-inflammatory drug
Naproxen once daily,or
Ibuprofen twice daily for some weeks, also Acetominofen+Codeine for some days.
-Apply cold packs locally
-Try to rest to protect the injured area
-You can wrap the injured area with an elastic bandage
If pain doesn't improve the next weeks or gets worse even taking the treatment, I suggest you to consult a doctor, to exclude any
fracture or other damage of the knee that require
surgical treatment.
