What Causes Swelling In The Left Ear With Pain Near The Opening?
my left ear swells up to where there is almost no opening and hurts terribly - not all the time if the ear gets touched or i try to put a head phone on that side for work it gets very very angry. I stoked the back bone of the ear the other day and the pain was really bad. what is going on I have seen ENT and they say there is nothing there.... been going on for a over a year now.

You might have what is known as Otitis Externa.
For the time being, stop using headphones.
Use Ciprofloxacin and dexamethasone ear drop every 4 hours for 5 days.
To prevent it, do not use earbuds more than 1 hour per day.
