What Causes Swelling In The Left Leg?
My left foot started swelling but would clear overnight. Then it started swelling huge and did not clear overnight. Swelling is progressing up the outer aspect of left leg. Doppler was negative for blood clots. There is some pitting happening. Doppler was negative for blood lots. Seeing podiatrist Thursday. What else should I be doing and what is likely to be causing this. No swelling on right foot.

If dvt is ruled out then other possible causes include lymph edema,trauma,baker cyst rupture and erysipelas. You need to keep leg elevated,rest,take nonsteroid painkillers and check your heart and kidney functions.
