What Causes Swelling In The Leg And Abdominal Bloating?

I am caring for a 72 year old man. He has CHF, recently had thoractic surgery to adhere 2 linings of the right lung. It always filled with fluid. Now is oxygen dependent, right foot and leg swollen, belly bloat, confusion, beginning to periodically urinate himself. He can't make it to the bathroom. His legs seem rigged, can't lift his leg to get in a car. Your comments

Hello

I understand your concern and we are here to help you.
The patient has congestive heart failure. So, the limb swelling and pleural effusion (water in between lung coverings) and abdominal distension is all due to that only. Proper treatment with diuretics and drugs to improve heart contractions will help his. Provided you should check for following:

ECG
Hb
Serum albumin
Renal function test.

Hope this will help you

Thank you
