What Causes Swelling In The Leg While On Rosuvastatin And Gabapentin?

I have been taking 20mg Rovastatin Calcium nightly for high cholesterol for approximately 3 weeks. At the same time I began taking 100 mg Gabapentin 2 times daily. I have noticed increased dry mouth, sleep problems, and, today, increased discomfort due to swelling of the right foot and lower leg. I will be calling my physician in the morning. Is there a problem if I cease taking the meds now? 70 years old...not the 7 that was shown on my info sheet.
