Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Swelling In The Legs And Numbness In The Toes?
my legs and feet are swollen almost all the time. My socks make an indentation on my ankle that takes hours to go away. sometimes my toes will go numb and will not regain feeling for hours. My hands and fingers go numb if I write for any period longer than about 5 or 10 minutes. Or if I am doing any other manipulation task with my hands. For example stringing beads, drawing, or burning images onto wood. All of this has been occurring for the past 2 years. I also feel that my eyesight ( which is currently very poor anyway. I am not sure if this helps but my eyeglass prescription is -8 in both eyes.) has gotten worse. However, it has been 2 years since I went to see an optometrist.
hi thanks for using HCM. Pedal/ ankle edema can occur in different condition like renal problem, drug ( Amlodipine), protein deficiency and other . Are you suffering from Diabetes, hypertention, renal problem? Numbness of hand and feet can be due to peripheral nueropathy in your case. you need to consult your physician. Thanks
