What Causes Swelling In The Legs While On Amlodipine Besylate?
I have been taking amlodipine besylate 10mg for about 2 wks now , my legs have swollen clear to my toes. this is however the 4th medication I have tried to lower bp , tonight I am now having bruised spots show up on feet. I think its the meds. I called dr. today he said go back to bystolic I will 2mar morning. any suggestions I have battled this for at least 3 months now, I think its something underlying any suggestions? I am 54 yrs young and I was very active w 5 ks s et. not so much any more becuz of this bp thing uggh. I don t get it, I never had bp issues b4?????

amlodi pine causing fluid retention so leg swelling is common..according to age u have switch to ACE INHIBITORS like captopril,or lisinopril 12.5mg daily for hypertension..as ur bleedING under the skin may b because of decrease platelet count..so just do one blood complete picture to look platelet count and will tell u further management
