What Causes Swelling In The Legs While Suffering From Kidney Failure?
Hi my 85 yr old neighbour ha kidney failure. Her legs and feet are very swollen. She has fluid lumps on her legs and it looks like it is only a matter of time before the skins will weep fluid. her toes are starting to go dark. She had knee replacements years ago. Can she safely use an electromagnetic circulation booster
Swelling of legs is an after effect of kidney failure. It is due to when the kidney fails to purify impurities in blood and pumps it back to heart the legs are farthermost part of the body so it fails to collect blood and impurities due to lack of pump causes swelling. Also, sodium potassium balance will not be maintained in kidney failure so the increase in sodium content in the blood causes swelling. Consult your urologist and orthopedician before starting the electromagnetic booster.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
