Hello and welcome to HCM.
I have gone through your question and understand your concern.
It seems that it is
angioedema.Its like an
allergic reaction.
If I were your treating doctor,I would recommend,
-Firstly to find out the provoking factor,any recent intake or change in medicines,food like fish,eggs;
insect bites or weather.Stopping further exposure is necessary.
-Tab cetrizine/
loratidine for 3-4 days and Tab
prednisolone 5 mg thrice in decreasing doses over 1-2 weeks.(prescription drug)
-local application of cold compresses over the lips will help reduce swelling.
-Maintain adequate hydration
-Avoid drugs like ibuprofen (Non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs) unless the cause of allergy is established.
-Report to ER immediately if there is breathing difficulty or eating /drinking becomes difficult as it may be become more severe.
Hope this information helps.
Thanks and regards.
