What Causes Swelling In The Little Finger Knuckle?

Cut the side of my pinky knuckle had to get 2 stitches. After 5 days took the stitches out and about a week latter I hit it off a bin and it ripped back open. Went and got it glued back together and the joint of the knuckle is all puffy when I straiten my finger. It was like this after it heald the first time is this normal? It doesn t hurt at all and were they glued it underneath the glue is all whitish and reddish is this all normal?

Hi,

It may be a minor hematoma or infection at the wound site.

You can apply local antibiotics like Mupirocin after cleaning with soap and water.

If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician.
