What Causes Swelling In The Little Finger?

Hi, my right pinky finger has been swollen on to about twice the size of its left counterpart. This has happened for a while, and I have played basketball consistently ever since. I am not sure if it is jammed or something else. I was wanting to check after I noticed that I do significantly worse than others at finger tip push ups. I was wondering what it could be and what I should do to alleviate this problem.

Hi,

Please do not ignore this condition and get it checked by getting an X-ray done for the finger and also by giving it rest, elevation of the area and splinting if there is a bony injury. You can also take some anti-inflammatory drugs like paracetamol or diclofenac which are anti-inflammatory.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
