What Causes Swelling In The Lower Legs?

my dad is 69 yo in good health. recent blood work up reveal no cholestrol, no diabetes, etc but for the past 1-2 months during night time his lower legs, more so on the left side, by the shin/calk area he notices slight swelling and when he presses on the area with his finger the area takes a few seconds to bounce back. he has been complaining of weekness of the legs for about 6 months or more. what are some of the diffrential diagnosis?

Hello,

There can be many reasons for it. From simple Anemia to the DVT. As you said it is more on the left side that means it is also there in right leg too.
This can be because either liver or kidney associated conditions, really, the heart related issue may also have their role. You need to visit a general physician and get it clinically evaluated as soon as possible.
