Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My Nurse Practitioner noticed that my thyroid was enlarged. My blood work came back fine except I have a slight vitamin D deficiency. I have noticed that the left side of my neck is more swollen than before and I m having more difficulty swallowing than before. I am gagging for no reason. Should I be worried?
Hello All thyroid swelling don't cause hypo or hyperthyroidism, so some thyroid swelling are function less or it can be a lymph node. I would suggest an USG of neck that help us to identify the cause of swelling.
Regards.
