What Causes Swelling In The Ribs And Pain While Breathing After An Injury?

I fell in the shower and the built-in seat in my shower hit my lower right side of my back and scraped my ribs as I fell further to the floor. The initial impact was below my ribs. There is minor swelling at the impact sight and just pink abrasion on the rib area. Using ice pack on impact sight and took two ibuprofen. No rib
Pain with breathing. Are there potentially any internal injuries I should be watching for?

Hi welcome to health care magic...

Here according to history mostly you are having costochondritis or musculoskeletal pain...

Local part x ray has to be taken to look for any rib fracture or internal damage..

Meanwhile take ibuprofen 200 mg BD for five days.

Avoid strenous work..

Heavy weight lifting avoided ..

Avoid movement that causing pain...

Take rest and sleep in proper posture.
