What Causes Swelling In The Scrotum Post An Unprotected Intercourse?
Hi Doc. I had unprotected sex with a girl (once and briefly...) and soon after I noticed a swelling of the scrotal raphe directly beneath the base of the penis shaft with some minor scrotal itching, no rash, no fever, no other symptoms whatsoever. The itching is gone and the swelling has gone down a bit but its still there over a month later. Do any STD s cause swelling at the location where they enter the body?? I was tested for everything (all negative) except for HIV and HPV. Thanks.

Hello.
I can understand your concern, but be assured that your symptoms donot suggest any STD. There are some STDs which do cause swelling at the site of entry like syphilis but the swelling is nodular, never linear. As you have already been tested, there is no cause for worry.
