General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Swelling of the penis & scrotum commonly occurs due to infection or testicular torsion. You are suggested to visit ER, get a urinalysis, CBC, urethral swab test, USG if required to rule out infections.

He should be physically examined to evaluate acute inflammation & swelling due to increased fluid, hydrocele, hernia, etc.

In the meantime, he can take acetaminophen (Tylenol) for relieve.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
