What Causes Swelling In The Shoulder While On Pravastatin?
I take pravaststin. For about a year I have been suffering from shoulder impingement. I was taken off of Lipitor because it caused me muscle cramps and pain. Could the pravaststin cause swelling of the bursa and thererffore shoulder impingement and shoulde pain?
As per your question I may say the drug [Pravastatin] is an antilipid drugs so it has no relation with swelling of shoulder. Swelling of shoulder has many pathological causes as below:
1) Ruled out Frozen shoulder: Take Prednisone day 1-7-40 mgday 8-14-30 mgDay 15-21] 20 mgDay 21-27]10 mg, after 27 day stop medicines
2) Do full blood count with differential. Follow me after 7 days
I hope I was able to address your query. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to write to me. Wishing you all the best.
Thanks, Dr. Uday Nath Sahoo
