General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to tonsillitis.

I suggest you use anti-inflammatory medication such as Ibuprofen.

I also recommend to get enough rest and drink warm or very cold fluids to ease throat pain.

Eat smooth foods, ice cream, or applesauce.

Use a cool-mist vaporizer or humidifier in your room.

Gargle with warm salt water.

If the symptoms continue antibiotics may be needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
